Template for Writing a Music Business Plan

A few weeks ago I posted a blog on MTT Open on “How To Write a Music Business Plan“. In the comments section of that post, one of the readers suggested that I provide a template or example of a plan.

I think making the marketing analysis for the music business plan will serve to be the most daunting of all the task. Based from experience, this really shook everything that I have.

Hey Nate,

The marketing analysis section of the plan can become daunting if you let
it. The best advice I have for this is to scour the internet for reliable
sources of data for this section. The trouble with today's analysis is that
there is too much info. Start with sites like Hypebot, Tech Dirt, Digital
Media Wire and the like then narrow your information down to fit the
specifics of your plan. You can also use trade organizations like the RIAA
and NARM, but be careful...statistics have become very political and may not
represent the entire picture.
